I’ve been wanting to try Ramen Underground for awhile and I finally got the chance to Tuesday night! I wasn’t aware of how small the place was but none the less it was yummy and perfect for a cold night.
Spicy Soy Sauce Ramen w/Pork Belly, Dumplings, and Kimchee
Ramen Underground 355 Kearny St San Francisco, CA 94108
Caught up with Mika and Angelina at brunch this morning!
I was watching something over the weekend on the Food Network about BBQ and ever since I couldn’t stop thinking about having it! Tuesday night was quite a disappointment. We went to two other BBQ places that were CLOSEDbefore we settle for this one! I wasn’t a happy camper about that. My taste buds weren’t as satisfied as I wanted them to be either but it wasn’t too bad.
Food Ordered: St. Louis Style Smoked Pork Ribs, Memphis Sweet-Smoked Pork, and Texas Beef Brisket (the BEST of the 3) w/ Mac & Cheese, Potato Salad, and a corn muffin
Food Ordered: Slow-Smoked Texas Beef Brisket sandwich (I would definitely return for their sandwiches!) w/fries and corn muffin
Memphis Minnie’s 576 Haight St San Francisco, CA 94117
Right before our little movie date, Sandra and I stopped by this Korean market near the theater that had a restaurant inside of it. I LOVE Korean food so it of course tasted amazing!
Food Ordered: Kimchee Tofu Soup w/beef
Kukje Super Market 2350 Junipero Serra Blvd Daly City, CA 94015
Thursday night was my first time ever at Red Robins. I’ve never been to Red Robins or similar restaurants like it because I am a city girl and honestly in SF I have plenty of places to go so restaurants like this are only ones I see on TV. The place is kind of ghetto but perfect for Roger dinner dates BUT not a REAL date though! I had a pretty good chicken sandwich and I’d come back. ;)
I’m a fan of Mexican food but I especially like tacos! I went to Taco Tuesday this week and instead of just ordering the two I like, I asked for every single one they made. I didn’t actually try every single one because my eyes are always bigger than my stomache. Though, I can tell you my favorite ones has always been the fish and the short ribs which I ordered two of along with the six others. I actually expected my date to finish them but that didn’t happen. I guess not everyone likes tacos as much as I do! ;)
Food Ordered: Albacore Tuna Tostadas (this was on SF 100 things to eat last year and I LOVE this!)
I’m not going to name every single one only because I’m not sure of the order AND I DID order every single one they had.
Tacolicious 741 Valencia St San Francisco, CA 94110
I met Jestinne for lunch at the Ferry Building on Wednesday. I always love it there because every restaurant there has outside seating and you get the view of the Golden Gate bridge!
Food Ordered: Warm Egg Sandwich (I can see why it’s #14 on SF 100 things to eat, YUM!)
Being all cute drinking my lemonade.
II Cane Rosso 1 Ferry Bldg San Francisco, CA 94111
After lunch we wanted dessert so we stopped by the Cheesecake Factory!!!
Dessert Ordered: Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake
The Cheesecake Factory 251 Geary St San Francisco, CA 94102
I don’t usually eat things like burgers and fries because I just don’t but I was having the weirdest craving for like a sandwich or burger or something along those lines. Matt suggested Park Chow and I’ve always wanted to try that place so we went for dinner. I definitely think I’ll go back and I’ll probably have pasta next time.
Tuesday morning I got up waaay earlier than I really needed to so I met up Angelina and her cute little son for some brunch at Radish. I’ve had brunch at numerous places that serve potatoes with your plate but these golden little things were SO delicious!
Food Ordered: Biscuit Benny
Radish 3465 19th St San Francisco, CA 94110
I met Joanna and Anna for much over dued dinner time Wednesday night at a place I’ve been wanting to try for awhile. I’m a little disappointed because I expected amazingnessfrom every single dish and I didn’t really get that but I’ll always try something twice before I decide I’m not into it so I might be back again.
Food Ordered: Corn Fritters (this was yummy ESPECIALLY with the dipping sauce it came with!) and Singaporean Curry Noodle
Food Ordered: Rendang Beef w/rice and Nasi Goreng (yummy!)
You just can’t leave dinner without some dessert!
Dessert Ordered: Black Sticky Rice w/ Coconut milk
Lime Tree Southeast Asian Kitchen 450A Irving St San Francisco, CA 94122
The food at Hard Knox is always so good to me because it’s all comfort food. Though I do always feel guilty the rest of the day after eating here and I’m not really a fan of the neighborhood either. They do have 2 locations but the fact this is the first one I dine here just because I feel like it’s better?
Food Ordered: Corn Muffins (LOVE these things) and Fried and Blackened Catfish w/ Potato Salad, and Mac & Cheese
Hard Knox Cafe 2526 3rd St San Francisco, CA 94107
Nothing is better than having hot pot for dinner on a nasty, rainy night and Saturday was definitely nasty! I come here pretty often because I love the fact it’s all you can eat AND they have these yummy little dessert baos I like. I think Melissa kinda love the place now too! ;)
Baos From Top to Bottom: Taro, Red Bean, and Custard (my favorite one)
I started the week off with some brunch at one of my new favorite place on Monday morning. This place is a MUST try! Probably one of the best brunch I’ve had, and I have breakfast, A LOT. ;)
Food Ordered: Eggs in A Tasty Nest (they’re popular for this and it’s definitely yummy!)
Food Ordered: Crab Cakes Benedict
Pork Store Cafe Valencia 3122 16th St San Francisco, CA 94103
Wednesday night, Sherena and I took Sandra out for a little make up dinner since we both missed her birthday party Saturday night. I decided to come to Betelnut because I was in the mood for Asian food and they’re also featured on SF 100 Things to Eat list so I figured why not? I also get SO excited when I can cross off something on that list!
Saturday night Sambath and Thuy came over and baked the cupcakes and made caramel apples for Sambo’s baby shower the next day. I hanged around helping here and there and mainly just did all the easy stuff like the favors. I’m not much of a cook nor can I bake so TRYING to help is just more like making a mess.
As a thank you gift for helping Sambath made me these shoe cupcakes! How cute, my two favorite things in the WHOLE world in one. <3
Wednesday was the first day of summer and we actually got a nice day in the city so Beatriz, Debo, and I got a good hearty brunch before we went SHOPPING!!! Food Ordered: French Toast (we shared) and La Mancha omelette
Savor 3913 24th St San Francisco, CA 94114
I had a pretty big lunch after my 4 miles at Lake Merced Friday. I pretty much ate it and then some but well worth it! Their garlic fries are so freaking good!!!
Food Ordered: Comet Chicken sandwich with garlic curly fries
I’m back! I didn’t blog last week because I was on a NO RESTAURANT MEAL DIET. It was probably the hardest week EVER!
Monday morning I went to dim sum brunch with my mom’s side of the family and when we get together for dim sum, it’s pretty insane. My mom favors this restaurant because it’s one of the few in Chinatown that has valet parking and she knows I am a diva about my parking! Obama was also here when he visited SF, fun fact for the people who actually cares. LOL!
I am not going to name everything because I don’t exactly know what everything is. This is only round 1…
Great Eastern Restaurant 649 Jackson St San Francisco, CA 94133
I’ve been wanting to try this food park ever since it opened. Friday was the lucky night! When Sherena, Elissa, and I arrived we definitely were excited! I didn’t blog last week because most of the week I spent in Vegas and most of the things I’ve eaten were all quick bites. I have pictures but they’re not pretty so I don’t feel like they’re blog worthy. Lam Hoa Thuan Restaurant 2337 Irving St San Francisco, CA 94122
Hayes Valley is a cute little neighborhood in SF and there are plenty of places to eat there. My cousin lives in the neighborhood and not to far from here so we decided to come by for dinner.
Food Ordered: Lamb kebabs w/salad, rice platif, and white rice
Hayes and Kebab 580 Hayes St San Francisco, CA 94102
I’m not really a fan of fancy dining because I just don’t think it’s worth it and usually you have no idea wth it is they’re serving you! But I do favor The Rotunda for lunch BUT it also annoys the shit out of me that they change their menu once a month! I would also like to sit by the window without having to wait! Other than that they’re amazing. :)
I had fancy Chinese food for dinner on Monday which I find boring and unadventurous because being Asian I’ve had plenty of meals in restaurants like this but my dad is boring so he decides this is what’s for dinner! The specialty from this restaurants is their Salt & Pepper crab but I don’t eat crab when I have to crack it myself! Just because I don’t prefer it doesn’t mean YOU shouldn’t try it though. ;)
Food Ordered: L-R = Soup (I’m not exactly sure what this is but it’s some kind of special seafood soup), Stuffed Calms, I believe they use the meat from the fish in the soup to make this dish, and Cubed Black Pepper beef

Food Ordered: Roast Beef on dutch crunch
Little Lucca Sandwich Shop & Deli 724 El Camino Real South San Francisco, CA 94080

Food Ordered: Goi Coun (pork spring rolls) w/peanut sauce and Bun Rieu (crab paste noodle soup)
Grand Century Mall 1111 Story Rd San Jose, CA 95122
My birthday landed on a Friday this year (5/4) and so I decided the WHOLE weekend was my birthday! I didn’t blog last Sunday because I knew it wasn’t the end of it all!
Friday morning started out with Sherena, Sandra, and Bessie taking me to breakfast at this cute little French place.
Food ordered: L-R = French toast Counter Clockwise = Smoked Salmon Benedict w/cottage fries, Corn Beef Hash w/fruits (this isn’t on the menu but the French guy made it special for Sherena ;)), Pancakes w/banana, and Smoked Chicken, sun-dried tomato, & cheddar omelet w/ cottage fries, and the owner brought me a chocolate mousse w/caramel sauce and put a little candle on it. :)
Curbside Cafe 2417 California St San Francisco, CA 94115
Later that night I had dinner with my parents which is always nice, ESPECIALLY when they see it as a chance to question me about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING going on in my life…
Food Ordered: L-R = Seared Ahi Tuna (I am a HUGE fan of ahi tuna), Mashed, Spinach Au Gratin, Lyonnaise, Filet topped with lobster tail (My dad and I both got this and my mom had shrimp on her’s. I actually thought the lobster was better than the actually steak!), and last but not least a slice of lava cake on the house which I totally did not want because I HATE when waiters sing me the birthday song!
Ruth Chris Steak House 1601 Van Ness Ave San Francisco, CA 94109
Saturday morning Beatriz and I had breakfast at a spot with the smallest menu EVER! I honestly was thinking what the hell am I going to eat! We’re both visual people so we need to see before we buy. Luckily we sat at the bar and had full on view of the kitchen to watch the cooks make everything so ordering became easier.
Food Ordered: Beignet w/ strawberry & whip, Garlic-herb potatoes w/ apple wood sausage, and House-made english muffin w/salad
Universal Cafe 2814 19th St San Francisco, CA 94110
Saturday night I had dinner with all my BFFs (Beatriz, Debo, & Sambo) ,which we do ever year on my birthday. We went to a restaurant in North Beach and I seriously can’t believe none of us had ever been here! First, it’s SUPER popular and second, we’ve had sooo many birthday dinners in the area through out the years. How come no body ever suggested this place?!
Food Ordered: Bread w/their special garlic dip, Roasted garlic potato onion soup w/pastry cap, Pepperoni pizza w/basil & sardine, Chicken & asparagus pasta, Italian garlic meat loaf w/garlic yukon gold mash & cream swiss chard, and of course another slice of cake where the dorky waiters sings me a birthday song!

Wednesday night I had a late birthday dinner at The House of Prime Rib which is originally where my dad wanted to take me before we settled for Ruth Chris’ since we couldn’t get a reservation! But it looks like someone else came through for me instead! See, I told you I always get what I want. :)
Food Ordered: I got a baked potato & creamed spinach with my English cut (which is the thinnest). Honestly after this I don’t want to look at prime rib ever again!
House of Prime Rib 1906 Van Ness Ave San Francisco, CA 94109

Genki Crepes 330 Clement St San Francisco, CA 94118
I’ve been eating very healthy all week because I knew I was going to be slacking on the gym due to my busy schedule and the nice weekend weather. Since I was out and about Friday night in the Haight I stopped by one of my favorite places to eat for dinner. I don’t feel too bad about it because I skipped dessert and trust me, I NEVER say no to dessert!

It was SUPER nice all weekend and I love the outdoors so I took advantage of it and went to Dolores Park to soak up some of the sun and since Bi Rite is right around the corner it’d be wrong to not pay them a visit right?
Esperpento is one of my FAVORITE Spanish Tapas restaurant. Everything is always delicious and the portions are ridiculous. Even their smallest paella can feed 2 people perfectly fine and you’ll even have leftovers BUT since my eyes are bigger than my stomach I wasn’t going to be satisfied with JUST the paella, now that’s just crazy!
Food Ordered: L-R = Lobster Tail Paella (this is a must order), Potato Bravas, Gambas Al Ajillo (garlic shrimp), & Coconut Flan (I LOVE flan!!!)
Esperpento 3295 22nd Street San Francisco,CA 94110
Beatriz got off work just in time for breakfast on Wednesday so we went over to this Cuban style breakfast place I’ve passed by a couple times. This place is right across the street from Esperpento (above)! I am definitely coming back on a nice sunny day because they have outdoor seating!
Food Ordered: Top = Chorizo-n-Eggs Bottom = Boogaloos Classic (I always like to try the most popular thing when it’s my first time at a restaurant)
Boogaloos 3296 22nd Street San Francisco, CA 94110
Sandra and I went to the gym super late on Thursday and there were just too many people so after spending like 30 minutes there we came over here for dinner. I would have ordered a crepe BUT I was feeling guilty for not staying at the gym longer so we attempt to order the “healthiest" two things on the menu…

Saiwaii Ramen 2240 Irving San Francisco, CA 94122
I was always very curious about Fluffy Snow. It’s kind of like a snow cone because it is shaved ice but with an ice cream texture and it’s also kind of like froyo because you can add toppings and yummy goodness to it BUT I thought it was better than both!
Food Ordered: Green Tea flavor drizzled w/caramel, taro pudding, and mochi
Fluffy Snow 1314 Noriega St San Francisco, CA 94122
I’m Asian so when you say noodles and dumplings I’m all about it! Kingdom of Dumpling is one of those SUPER hole in the wall type of place and the food there is delicious! NancyD and I use to be regulars here and by that I mean AT LEAST twice a week. Though I’ve cut back on A LOT of my favorite places to eat since my doctor tells me I’m fat now. But it’s ok I’ll be fine. ;)

The fact that I LOVE good food and so many different kinds all in one place was heaven! I’m definitely one of those people whose eyes are always way bigger than their stomache. I want to try everything but I can’t eat everything. I’m planning to go back soon and have everything else I didn’t have! So stay tuned for part 2!

I have a bad milktea drinking habit and when I discovered that Purple Kow make HUGE ones it was exciting! Honestly though, the only thing I like about this place is how cute and big the cups are but I don’t actually like their teas. It usually ends up sitting in my fridge for a couple days until I remember to throw it out. But I do know people who love this place and it’s always PACKED so if you’re in the area you should try it just for the experience, just remember those cups DO NOT fit in your cupholders…
Sandra decided to NOT go to class Wednesday morning and go have breakfast instead! The BEST thing about this place has GOT to be that their french toast isn’t just regular bread, it was a croissant and SOOO delicious!

Nordstorm’s cafe has some of the BEST sandwiches I’ve EVER had so I took advantage of it while I was downtown SF on Monday for a dentist appointment.
Food Ordered: Santa Fe Chicken sandwich w/mixed greens
Nordstrom Cafe Bistro (top floor) 865 Market St San Francisco, CA 94103
I’ve never been a fan of turkey, not even during Thanksgiving dinner but the brie and cranberry sauce went so well together I had it twice this week! One of the things I favor here is the potatoe salad because there isn’t any mayo in it so I don’t ever feel guilty having it.
Food Ordered: Top = ice tea Bottom = Roasted Turkey Breast sandwich w/potatoes salad
Cocola 3251 20th Ave San Francisco, CA 94132

Olive Garden 3251 20th Ave San Francisco, CA 94132
I’m a BIG foodie so in order to not be TOO fat I have to attempt the gym so I can eat the way I want to. Friday morning I went with Nancy and Matt and we got Mexican for lunch after. Nancy and I shared a taco and quesadilla (which was HUGE). I like variety and her being my cousin it’s pretty much the same story.
Food Ordered: L-R = chips w/salsa, taco (the meat was some kind of pork), super quesadilla w/steak, and I like to load mine with A LOT of extra salsa and salsa verde.
La Taqueria 2889 Mission St San Francisco, CA 94110
I LOVE stuff peppers and I was super excited when I discovered Trader Joe’s had these microwave, ready to eat ones! I’m a bachelorette so I don’t cook so anything I can put in a microwave is the puurrfect meal for me. ;)
Japanese is one of my FAVORITE cuisines. It’s true, I refuse to date men who do not eat sushi. So on Wednesday when someone suggested sushi for lunch it was definitely a no brainer!
Food Ordered: Top = vegetable tempura Bottom L-R = Crunchy roll?, Tempura roll, Gozzilla Roll, and Lion King Roll (which I forgot to photograph)
Koi Sushi Boat 1737 Decoto Rd Union City, CA 94587
